The Role: Founding Engineer - Full Stack - 

As a founding Full Stack Software Engineer, you'll work directly with the  leadership team to design, build, and support our flagship price modeling product. This is a unique opportunity to own key areas of product development, leveraging your strengths in frontend or backend infrastructure. Your contributions will directly shape the product and the company.

What You'll Do

• Design and build foundational product capabilities. Projects include architecting the frontend, creating scalable data integration systems, and implementing infrastructure for distributed price models.
• Operate across the entire stack, rapidly learning new technologies as needed.
• Own problems from start to finish, from initial scoping to user adoption.
• Engage directly with customers to deeply understand their needs and generate product vision.

This isn't a role where you'll be handed a list of features to implement. You'll tackle big, ambiguous problems and will own the solution design and outcome independently. You'll have the freedom to choose the right technology for the job.

Who We're Looking For

We need a highly motivated engineer with a passion for building great products and making a real impact.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building and deploying production software systems.
• Strong mission alignment with making the grid cleaner and more efficient.
• Mastery of one or more languages like Python, Go, Java, C++, or TypeScript.
• Demonstrated system design skills, with experience designing or maintaining complex software systems.
• Depth in at least one area of software development (e.g., infrastructure, backend, frontend).
• Excited to build products from 0 to 1 and take on work beyond the typical engineering scope, such as user engagement and product strategy.
• An independent and collaborative approach to software development.
• Strong communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• A technical degree in a related field.
• Demonstrated interest in the electric grid and/or energy transition.
• Experience in a startup or fast-paced environment.
