Wireless Network Architect (4G/5G Core)
Privacy-First Cellular Infrastructure | Mission-Driven | Growth-Stage Startup
About the Company
Founded by leaders from top defense-tech and national security organizations, this venture-backed company is building a next-generation, privacy-first cellular network. Backed by premier Silicon Valley investors, the team is rethinking telecom from the ground up—designing infrastructure that gives individuals and mission-critical operators greater control over their data.
This is not incremental telecom. Its a clean-sheet approach to secure, cloud-native wireless infrastructure that supports U.S. and allied national security priorities.
The Opportunity
Were hiring a Wireless Network Architect to design, build, and operate a modern, cloud-based 4G/5G Core network. This role is for someone who understands legacy telecom deeply—but is motivated to reinvent it.
You’ll operate at the intersection of architecture and execution: shaping system design, deploying production infrastructure, working directly with vendors, and ensuring reliability at scale. Your work will directly impact national security and privacy-forward communications.
What You’ll Do
-
Architect and deploy 4G/5G Core networks (voice, data, messaging) with scale and reliability.
-
Lead implementation of IMS, EPC, and 5G Core functions (HSS/UDM/UDR, MME/AMF, SGW/UPF, etc.).
-
Design and execute seamless feature rollouts (VoLTE, VoNR, VoWiFi, SMS/MMS over IP) with zero user disruption.
-
Interconnect across roaming partners, MVNOs, private networks, IPX, and trunking environments.
-
Troubleshoot complex network issues using traces and protocol-level analysis.
-
Drive enhanced privacy and security standards beyond traditional telecom norms.
-
Launch new network instances across regions and evolving mission requirements.
What You Bring
-
4+ years of wireless Core network architecture experience (4G LTE, 5G NSA/SA).
-
Deep knowledge of IMS, EPC, 5G Core, and related protocols (Diameter, SIP, GTP).
-
Experience deploying, configuring, and debugging network functions hands-on.
-
Strong understanding of telecom regulatory requirements (e911, NG911, CALEA).
-
Vendor management experience and strong technical documentation skills.
-
Comfort operating in a fast-moving startup environments
-
Cloud-native Core deployments
-
MVNO launches, roaming interconnects, IPX
-
RAN familiarity and SIM/SIM applet/OTA expertise
-
Fluency in Mandarin (Preferred)
-
US Citizenship (Required)
